Timothy Grecsek
Timothy Grecsek concentrates on litigation. He brings more than 20 years of legal and practical experience to the firm, including significant experience representing automobile dealers throughout Florida.
Before joining Kurkin Forehand Brandes, Grecsek took his litigation skills and became corporate counsel for Braman Management Association. Based in Miami, Fla., Braman Management is one of the most successful private automobile dealership groups in the United States. As corporate counsel, Grecsek reviewed and negotiated contracts and employment practices, and he was responsible for regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Braman Management, Grecsek primarily handled insurance defense, litigating a variety of types of insurable claims ranging from slip and falls to matters including consumer litigation, statutory violations, business disputes and employment issues. As panel counsel for an insurer with one of the largest dealership portfolios, Grecsek had the privilege of being appointed counsel for many automobile dealerships, who are uniquely exposed to the greatest variety of claims.
Before attending law school, he spent 10 years working for automobile dealerships in and around the Charlotte, N.C., area, including four years as the general manager of a Nissan Jeep dealership. This dealership management experience provides Grecsek with a unique understanding of the real world issues facing businesses. Grecsek has had the unusual privilege of seeing the impact of litigation, not just from the court room, but also as the client paying and reviewing the bills.
Grecsek is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., and earned his J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law. He is a member of The Florida Bar and the National Association of Dealer Counsel.
