Les Stracher
Les Stracher brings more than 25 years of wide ranging legal experience to Kurkin Forehand Brandes. In addition to specializing in automobile dealership law, he has represented clients in mergers and acquisitions, commercial and real estate litigation, and insurance defense.
Prior to joining Kurkin Forehand Brandes, Stracher focused on the complicated regulatory matters faced by automobile dealerships on a day-to-day basis, as well as represented clients in consumer disputes in civil court. He also reviewed and negotiated vendor agreements to ensure that they were fair and contained a scope of services that were clear and meaningful to dealerships.
Stracher is currently a board member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel and regularly contributes to its newsletter, the NADC Defender. He has written numerous articles, including, “The Myths of the Non-Recourse Agreement,” “Practical Considerations for GLB/Safeguards Compliance,” “Drafting Audit Letters in the Modern Era,” “Surviving an FTC Investigational Hearing and Advising Your Clients,“ and “Standing Your Ground Against Floor planners.” He has also lectured and conducted seminars on subjects ranging from the conduct of automotive buy-sell agreements to a variety of regulatory subject matters.
Stracher is an advocate of cost effective representation, and makes all efforts to perform a comprehensive analysis of potential problems so as to minimize legal costs. He makes it a part of his practice to keep his clients informed and up to date on matters ranging from environmental to consumer regulatory compliance.
Stracher received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 1978 and a Juris Doctorate from the university's law school in 1982.
